Transformations of old, character homes are some of our most favorite renovation projects. The combination of the old character features with new designs looks stunning, and the final result is exceptional.

The focus of this bungalow renovation was the main living areas and the flooring throughout the house.

Living Areas Transformation

The renovation of the living areas evolved around the heart of the house – the kitchen.

The kitchen area was re-gibbed, we installed new lighting, tiled the splashback, and painted all the living areas. Placemakers supplied the kitchen cabinets as the owners had an established relationship with their kitchen designers. The new kitchen compliments the character of the house and looks very classy

Hardwood Floors Restoration

A huge difference was also made by sanding and polishing all the hardwood floors. The polyurethane coating will protect the floors against scratches. With regular maintenance cleaning, a floor finish can last up to 10 years.

Switchboard Upgrade

Part of the renovation was also installing a new switchboard. The house had the old type of switchboard with the wire fuses, which don’t work well to protect against fatal electrical shocks.
